Something for everyone!
Students have lots of options when it comes to having some fun while exploring personal interests outside of the classroom. Our main hub outside of the classroom is downtown Putnam where we enjoy walking the bike path along the picturesque Quinebaug River or hanging out at the many restaurants, cafes, and shops. Our partners at Sawmill Pottery and The Complex Performing Arts Center downtown Putnam provide numerous workshops including pottery and sculpting, piano - guitar -ukele - voice lessons, photography workshops, studio art, dance, theater, fitness and more!
Students also enjoy student memberships at the Hale YMCA in Putnam where they can swim, workout at the gym, and so much more.
Photography

Studio Art
Painting, drawing, and sculpting - students can engage in and explore the visual arts through workshops offered by our partners at the Complex and at Sawmill Pottery.
Dance and Theater
Our students get to enjoy yoga, dance, and theater classes at the Complex in downtown Putnam. There are so many exciting classes and workshops along with working student opportunities, performances and events!

Health and Wellness
SOULEX at the Complex
Students can join in structured fitness activities led by a qualified instructor at the Complex or at the Hale YMCA. Whether it's high-energy cardio workouts, strength training sessions, or mind-body practices like yoga and Pilates, and even swimming, these classes foster camaraderie while helping students achieve their fitness goals.
